This particular site has twenty-five feet of elevation change within the building envelope, what a fun challenge for our team! After a close study of the site’s grades, we chose to design the retaining walls to create the drama & usability of entertaining spaces that a client hopes for when investing in a hillside property.

The property is nestled in the McDowell mountains, this home has some gorgeous vignettes that stand out from the saguaro forest & desert accents lining the driveway, to the timeless formal layout of the auto court to the front entry with clean lines.

The centerpiece of this property has to be the 45’ x 20’ play pool with a 56’ long negative edge that falls 10’ to the natural desert floor below. The drama this expanse of water creates in the foreground is breathtaking when viewing the Scottsdale airpark & downtown Phoenix in the distance. You would be hard put to find a more serene destination to entertain & enjoy a quiet Arizona sunset.
